My top tips for bridal prep!

It's finally here! The morning of your wedding day!

The most important thing to remember is that you are there to have fun, and just enjoy this time. Surround yourself only with people who bring the energy you want and need on your special morning.

As a wedding photographer, I love to share some of my top tips when it comes to ensuring morning prep runs smoothly, as well as tips on how to get the best photographs during this time.

  • Make sure that the space where you are getting ready has lots of natural light. When getting hair and make up done - position everyone in front of the largest window. Natural lighting always makes for the best photographs. This will also help your hair and make up artists!

  • Tidy up! Dedicate one of your bride squad to be on tidying up duty. Have a designated space for everyone's belongings away from your prep area. This will make for nice, clear photographs and having a clean space always helps to keep the morning stress free.

  • Details - gather a details box for me to photograph. Items such as; jewellery, rings, a perfume scent you'll be wearing, shoes, veil, invitations you sent to your guests. I like to capture detail shots on the morning of your wedding, so you can look back through your images and remember all the little details of your day.

  • Spend some quality time with your party - once all of your hair and make up is done, it's always nice to plan having some photographs of you all - whether it includes popping some Prosecco, dancing to your favourite songs that bring back memories or just sitting down to embrace the moment with the people who are most special to you.
